Organisation structure

How AIPSA is organised

AIPSA works through a democratic structure that links college units to district, state, and national committees. Each tier has a defined role, and decisions are shaped through collective discussion and regular student conferences.

Operational tiers

Shared structure across India

Four tiers

From campus to national council

01

Campus Units

Students organise at their college, forming the base of AIPSA and raising issues that arise in everyday campus life.

02

District Committees

District committees coordinate campus units, consolidate local concerns, and guide grievance redressal within their area.

03

State Committees

State committees steer campaigns across districts, review regional priorities, and convene student conferences for collective decisions.

04

National Council

The National Council provides overall coordination, sets shared priorities, and links state committees into one association.

Division of work

What each level is responsible for

Responsibilities are shared across the structure so that representation, policy review, and student support are handled close to the students they affect.

Campus representation

Voice on campus

Campus units represent student concerns to their institution and carry local campaigns forward through open discussion.

Policy review

Reviewing issues

District and state committees examine policies affecting students, prepare positions, and bring them to collective conferences.

Student support

Grievance redressal

Committees at every level help students raise grievances, track them through the structure, and support fair responses.
